Thannamandi celebrates Rajouri Day with enthusiastic Bike Rally
THANNAMANDI, APRIL 13: The Department of Youth Services and Sports, in collaboration with the Department of Tourism Rajouri/Poonch, proudly organized a vibrant bike rally in celebration of Rajouri Day. This exciting event took place under the esteemed direction of the District Development Commissioner of Rajouri on the morning of April 13, 2025.
The rally began at 9 am launching from the Tehsil office in Thannamandi and was officially flagged off by Sub-Divisional Magistrate Syeed Abad Hussain Shah. He was accompanied by notable dignitaries, including Mazhar Ali, Tehsildar Thannamandi; Muzammil Hussain Choudhary, Assistant Director Tourism Rajouri/Poonch; Mumtaz Ahmed, Tourist Officer Rajouri; Mehmood Azam, Naib Tehsildar and Saleem Noushad Raina, Zonal Physical Education Officer Thannamandi.
Thirty-five enthusiastic bikers participated in the rally, showcasing their commitment to promoting health and wellness through cycling. The event received valuable support from the local Police Department, which ensured a safe route throughout the Sub-Division. Additionally, the Health Department played a crucial role by providing an ambulance escort to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants.
The Department of Youth Services and Sports, alongside officials from the Thannamandi Zone, effectively managed all arrangements for the event, contributing to its seamless execution.
This bike rally not only commemorates Rajouri Day but also underscores the importance of community engagement and physical fitness while raising awareness about drug abuse, traffic safety, and the rich cultural heritage of the Thannamandi region.
