BJP holds massive protest against Congress in Jammu over National Herald case
Jammu Apr 17: J&K BJP held a massive protest against the Congress party at Kachi Chawni Chowk, Jammu.

The protest was led by J&K BJP Vice-President Yudhvir Sethi (MLA) accompanied by Arvind Gupta (MLA), & BJP NEM Priya Sethi and was organized by BJP District Jammu led by its President Adv. Rajesh Gupta and BJP District Jammu South led by its President Naresh Singh Jasrotia.
Hundreds of BJP leaders including Ayodhya Gupta, Veenu Khanna, Adv. Purnima Sharma, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Sanjita Dogra, Ranjodh Singh Nalwa, Sunil Prajapati, Bawa Sharma, Sanjay Baru, Puneet Mahajan, Sanjeev Sharma, Vinay Gupta, Dilbahadur Jamwal, Anu Gupta, Parveen Kerni, Ramesh Gupta, Neha Mahajan, Reema Padha, Rekha Mahajan, Keshav Chopra, Gulshan Bhagat, Surinder Sharma, Dinesh Gupta, Suneet Raina, Adarsh Jathiar, Kushant Prajapati, Vivek Patyal, Kulbeer Charak, Rahul Kumar, Geetanjali Mahajan, Swati Sharma, Arun Sethi, and others took part in the protest.
Effigy of the Congress was burnt by the party activists.
Yudhvir Sethi, while leading the protest, slammed Congress party for its shameful behaviour to try to affect the course of law. He said that the top leadership of Congress has been implicated in the money laundering case by the ED. Now instead of cooperating with the ‘Law’ of country, the Gandhi family is making a bid to convert their theft into a political issue.
“The Congress party has been using National Herald as a Money-Minting machine, through which it has sucked blood of crores of poor people”, said Yudhvir Sethi.
Arvind Gupta lambasted the Congress party for misuse of funds and assets through a company called Young Indian Pvt Ltd, in which Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi are major shareholders.
“Assets worth thousands of crores were acquired for a pittance by Young Indian, bypassing proper legal and financial procedures. Based on available evidences, ED has implicated Congress leaders, which is now making desperate attempts to influence the outcome”, said Arvind Gupta.
Priya Sethi slammed the Congress leaders for keeping their selfish interests above the nation. She accused them of backstabbing the nation and its residents which kept the downtrodden ‘neglected and oppressed’ for decades and is now pushing its cadre to delay the judicial process.
Rajesh Gupta termed the Congress party as the ‘mother of scams’ and accused it of bringing a culture of cheating, and misappropriation of funds in the nation through Jeep scam, Bofors scam, 2 G scam, Coal gate scam etc.
Naresh Singh Jasrotia said that Congress does not inherit any rights to misappropriate public assets and funds for its own benefits.
