Range level sports, drill competitions organised at Training Centre Bari Brahmna

 JAMMU, APRIL 19: The JK Fire & Emergency Services Department is observing Fire Service Week with great enthusiasm from 14th April to 20th April.

As part of the weeklong activity chart, Sports events were organized at Range Level at Fire Training Centre Bari Brahmna today, organising a series of competitions and drills to hone the skills and teamwork of fire service personnel.

Events included Fire Drill, Volleyball competition, Tug of war, Badminton and Cricket matches with the participation of around 150 Fire Service personnel from different Fire & Emergency Services  Commands of Jammu and Kashmir provinces. The personnel demonstrated their physical fitness coordination skills and team spirit in a disciplined way.

In volleyball final, Fire & Emergency Services Command Ramban emerged victorious and Jammu Command finished as runners up.

Similarly, in fire Drill competitions Fire & Emergency Services Jammu Command clinched the first position and Udhampur/Reasi  Command & Doda / Kishtwar Command  secured  second and third  position respectively.

The Tug of war final was won by Udhampur/Reasi command and Rajouri Poonch command finished as runner up. In Badminton the first position was clinched by Fire & Emergency Services Command Udhampur/Reasi, while Command Samba/ Kathua came 2nd. In cricket FTC Bari Brahmna emerged victorious and Rest of Jammu finished as runners up.

The events are being conducted under the auspices of Alok Kumar-IPS (ADGP) Director Fire & Emergency Services J&K and presided over by R.K. Raina Deputy Director F&ES Command Jammu.

 Dr. Manju Medical Officer Medical Unit Gandhinagar, Sarvesh Langer Assistant Director Command Udhampur, Himanshu Gandotra Principal FTC Bari Brahmna,   &  S. Mandeep Singh Foreman Regional Workshop Jammu were the jury members to assess the participating teams. 

The mementos and trophies were presented to the winners by the Chief Guest. The event was conducted by Kanwal Peshin I/c DFO Trainings and Sunil Dutt.

The week-long activities shall conclude on 20th April, 2025 with a lecture on drug abuse and cultural activities at Headquarters Gandhinagar.
