BJP launches cleanliness drive commemorating Dr. Ambedkar’s Birth Anniversary celebrations
Sat Sharma leads cleanliness drive at Talab Tillo
Jammu 21 April: Sat Sharma CA, President, J&K BJP, led a cleanliness drive under the party’s ongoing “Dr. Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan” programmes at Municipal Park, Opposite Shree Tali Sahib Gurudwara, Talab Tillo.
The programme was organized by Ayodhya Gupta, Secretary, J&K BJP and witnessed the participation of BJP District Jammu team under the leadership of Adv. Rajesh Gupta.
Parmod Kapahi, Abhiyan Incharge, Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, Media Incharge, J&K BJP, Sanjay Baru, Keshav Chopra, Suneet Raina, Ravikant Sharma, and others were among the prominent to participate in the cleanliness drive.
Sat Sharma, while undertaking the cleanliness drive said that the Bharatiya Janata Party has initiated a nationwide cleanliness campaign among other programmes to commemorate the 134th birth anniversary of Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a stalwart advocate for social justice. This initiative is a pivotal component of the “Bharat Ratna Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samman Abhiyan,” which commenced on April 13, he said.
He said that in the last few days, the BJP also undertook the cleanliness drives near the statues of Dr. Ambedkar, cleaned his statues and held seminars and programmes to take his legacy to the ground level with the public engagement to highlight Dr. Ambedkar’s contributions and promote social harmony.
Ayodhya Gupta said that the BJP is truly following the principles of the Constitution framed by Dr. Ambedkar. BJP has given recognition to his contributions and working on his vision for the Samrasta and the empowerment of needy.
Rajesh Gupta said that the BJP, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, remains dedicated to furthering Dr. Ambedkar’s ideals through initiatives focused on uplifting marginalized communities.
Parmod Kapahi said that BJP is eyeing the maximum participation of the common masses in these programmes to carry Dr. Ambedkar’s vision to them.
Dr. Pardeep Mahotra, while congratulating the Swachhta Nayak for being felicitated, said that they are really serving the society with dedication even in odd conditions.
The BJP leaders also felicitated the sanitation workers as the ‘Swachhta Nayak’, while appreciating their efforts in keeping the surroundings clean and presented them with the mementoes.
Later, Sat Sharma, along with other leaders joined a community meal organized by Ayodhya Gupta at Green Avenue.
