Training on civil Registration System held at ANMT School Ramban
RAMBAN, APRIL 24: A training-cum-sensitization session on the Civil Registration System (CRS) was conducted today at ANMT School Ramban under the guidance and direct supervision of Chief Medical Officer Dr. Kamal Jee Zadoo (District Registrar, Births & Deaths) and District Statistical & Evaluation Officer Ganesh Kumar (Additional District Registrar, Births & Deaths). The session witnessed participation from Block Medical Officers, Medical Officers, and other relevant medical staff from across the district.

The training focused on equipping the participants with comprehensive knowledge and practical skills to handle cases related to births and deaths—including their accurate recording, documentation, uploading, and enumeration. The initiative is aimed at enhancing the capacity of healthcare functionaries to ensure the effective implementation of the Civil Registration System at the grassroots level.
Emphasizing the significance of timely and accurate registration of vital events, the training highlighted key areas such as improving the efficiency of the civil registration system, enhancing data quality for evidence-based decision-making, and facilitating citizen access to various essential services and government benefits.
Through this initiative, the participants gained valuable insights into the legal and procedural framework governing the CRS, thereby strengthening the district’s efforts towards transparent and accountable governance.
