DLSA Shopian organises awareness programme for LSUC at GHSS Zainapora

SHOPIAN, APRIL 24: District Legal Services Authority (DLSA) Shopian in collaboration with Education Department, Shopian today organized an awareness programme for Legal Services Unit for Children (LSUC), support for Admission/Re-admission in schools at Government Higher Secondary School Zainapora.

The programme was organized under the guidance of Mudasar Farooq, Secretary DLSA Shopian.

Deputy LADC, Dawood Ahmad Khan in his address briefed the audience about the Role of District Legal services Authority in rendering the services. In his address he also apprised the audience about specific legal provisions for vulnerable children, including those with disabilities, transgender children, and children at risk of trafficking or abuse.

Earlier, Assistant LADC, Bisma Rafiq gave a brief introduction about the programme.

Sajad Ahmad Najar, Assistant LADC, briefed the audience about LSUC and about educational opportunities for children particularly those rescued from trafficking, abuse, and other challenging circumstances and how we can support them for Admission/Re-admission in schools.
