Training programme for senior officials of UT Admin Ladakh on Emerging Technologies concludes
LEH, March 13: With the aim to stay in sync with emerging technologies and to explore the scope of using such technologies to aid in governance, ground implementation of projects, widespread awareness of schemes and policies, etc, the Information Technology Department, UT Ladakh in collaboration with the National Institute of Smart Governance (NISG), GoI is conducting a 10-day training and capacity building programme on ‘Emerging Technologies’ for the officials of the UT Administration.
The first three days of the training programme i.e from the s10th to the 12th was designed for the senior officials of the UT Administration where emerging technologies and their application in the digital makeover of India were touched upon. Technological aspects such as e-Governance maturity, New e-Governance competency framework or governments, leveraging new technologies and encouraging innovation, e-learning, big data analytics artificial intelligence and machine learning, enterprise agriculture, cloud computing, block-chain, m-Governance which uses mobile technologies to provide G2C services were part of the sessions.
The third day covered subjects viz Internet of Things (IoT) and Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality and was attended by Principal Secretary Dr Pawan Kotwal, Principal Secretary Sanjeev Khirwar, Secretary Tourism Kacho Mehboob Ali Khan, Secretary Yatindra Maralkar, Deputy Commissioner Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, Additional Secretary Finance and other senior officials attended the training programme.
In continuation of the training, subjects such as Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning, Block Chain, Cyber Security, Internet of Things (IoT) and Mobile Technologies shall be taken up with varied levels of officials of the Ladakh Administration.
