NSS unit of GDC Kathua conducts health and wellness activities in Bhagthali
KATHUA, March 28: On the fourth day of a seven-day special camp, the NSS unit of Government Degree College Kathua performed a series of activities in their adopted village Bhagthali.
The volunteers organised a rally on health and wellness and conducted a door-to-door campaign to explain the importance of cleanliness and sanitation. They asked people to stop unhealthy eating habits and made women aware of menstrual health, distributing sanitary pads to them.
Bavita Devi created a project model on health and wellness and explained it to people. A plantation and cleanliness drive were also carried out.
A pledge ceremony was conducted in which volunteers vowed to spread cleanliness and sanitation. The camp is being organised under the patronage of Principal Prof. Seema Mir and supervision of NSS Program officers Manmohan Singh and Suresh Sharma. The proceedings were conducted by Volunteer, Sharad Sharma.
