BJP conducts cleanliness drive at Ranbireshwar Temple

JAMMU, March 28: BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan team along with a large number of volunteers launched a cleanliness drive in the premises of historical Shivji Mandir (Ranbireshwar temple) opposite Civil Secretariat Jammu.

Er. Dil Bahadur Singh and Er. T.K Sharma in charge and co- in charge of J&K BJP Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan led the cleanliness drive.

Er. Dil Bahadur Singh Jamwal said that cleanliness has a very important role in everyone’s life and it could not be ignored. He further said that he would take this moment of Swachhta to the schools, colleges and universities to reach out to the young generations. He requested the public to stop the use of polythene and plastic. He also appealed to the society to keep their surroundings neat and clean to strengthen the Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan launched by PM Narendra Modi.

Er. TK Sharma said that new India has made tremendous progress in realizing the dream of Mahatma Gandhi in the last 9 years. India is well on its path to become a role model for the world in terms of cleanliness. He further said that according to World Health Organization approximately 20 crore cases of diarrhea were reported in India before 2014 largely due to lack of cleanliness, however the situation has changed significantly since the launch of Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan.

Randeep Singh Parihar, co-convener, Er. VK Gupta, Convener Jammu East, BB Sharma Co Incharge Jammu South and Er. SK Zailpuri were amongst the prominent to participate in the event.
