Kishtwar: One Stop Centre for Women hosts awareness camp on women’s rights

KISHTWAR, March 29: An awareness camp was organised at Neelam Academy Kishtwar by the One Stop Centre for Women today. The camp was held under the direction of District Social Welfare Officer, Zubair Ahmed and the supervision of Central Administrator, Indu Balla.

School staff attended the camp where the OSC team provided information on women’s rights and the various types of assistance available at the One Stop Centre. This includes police aid, medical aid, counselling, legal aid and temporary shelter for up to five days.

Women-centric schemes were also highlighted and the procedure to avail benefits under different schemes such as the Restructured Marriage Assistance Scheme was explained.

At the end of the programme, grievances of women were recorded and the OSC team assured them of assistance with the help of relevant departments. Women can contact the Women Helpline at 181 or email [email protected] for further assistance.
