Block Diwas: DC Rajouri listens to public issues at Breri
RAJOURI, March 29: Deputy Commissioner, Vikas Kundal presided over a public outreach camp at the border area of Breri in Nowshera block as part of the weekly Block Diwas.
A number of issues and demands were highlighted during the event, including scarcity of water, speedy implementation of Jal Jeevan Mission schemes, upgradation of Government Girls Middle School Breri to High School level, sanctioning of a sub-centre at Breri, dilapidated condition of the road at Gai Gangota, shortage of electricity poles and transformers, sanctioning of a veterinary center and an Aangawadi Centre in every ward, sanctioning of border bunkers and holding special camps for issuing disability certificates.
The Deputy Commissioner gave a patient hearing to all the issues projected by the public and assured them that their demands would be fulfilled in a timely manner.
In response to the issue of water scarcity, he stated that dedicated efforts are being made to complete work on JJM schemes in time. Regarding the upgradation of GGMS Breri, he assured that he would take up the matter with the concerned authorities. He also stated that an adequate number of electricity poles would be provided under the RDSS scheme of the PDD sector.
For sanctioning a health sub-centre at Breri, he asked the concerned officer from the Health Department to submit a feasibility report at the earliest. Regarding the dilapidated condition of internal roads, he asked the concerned officer to repair any damage to ensure road safety. The officer was also asked to fix any potholes and surface irregularities. He directed officials to ensure timely payments for the construction of bunkers and motivated educated and unemployed youth to avail benefits of self-employment schemes and become job creators rather than job seekers.
Deputy Commissioner of Rajouri, Vikas Kundal briefed the public about the district administration’s initiative towards making Rajouri drug-free and sought their cooperation in the fight against drug abuse.
