Gourav Kumar declares qualified for the award of Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering at SMVDU

SMVDU 03rd March 2023: Gourav Kumar, a researcher from the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, Jammu and Kashmir has successfully qualified for the award of Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computer Science and Engineering.

His research work focused on “Hybrid Evolutionary Neural Networks Approach for Stock Market Prediction” and was carried out under the guidance of Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Vice-Chancellor, Central university of Jammu and Dr. Uday Pratap Singh, Associate Professor, School of Mathematics, SMVDU. Gourav received the GATE/NET fellowship from the SMVDU and has published various research papers in SCI/SCIE indexed journals. He also presented several papers at international and national conferences. Currently he is working at Satish Dhawan Centre for Space Sciences, Central University of Jammu.

Gourav expressed his gratitude to the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University for providing the fellowship during his Ph.D. program. He also acknowledged the School of Computer Science and Engineering for providing him with all the necessary facilities and support for conducting his research work.

He expressed the heartfelt gratitude to his supervisors for their continuous support and encouragement during his research work. Prof. (Dr.) Ravindra Kumar Sinha, Vice-Chancellor, SMVDU, Dr. V.K Bhat, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Dr. Ajay Kaul, Dean, Faculty of Engineering, Dr. Baijnath Kaushik, Head, School of Computer Science and Engineering, and other committee members congratulated Gourav on his achievement and wished him a bright future ahead.
