Principal Secretary Chairs Meeting to Review Healthcare Infrastructure in Leh

Leh, April 4: The Principal Secretary of Health and Medical Education, Dr. Pawan Kotwal, chaired a meeting in his office chamber at the Civil Secretariat, to review the status of the 108 ambulance services, utilization of hospital funds, review of the oxygen infrastructure in view of the coming tourist season, and the functioning of health and wellness centers/ e-Sanjeevani scheme and e-Hospitals.

During the meeting, Dr. Pawan Kotwal emphasized the importance of ensuring that the healthcare infrastructure is well-equipped to handle any potential challenges, particularly in light of the upcoming tourist season. He also stressed the need to ensure that hospital funds are being utilized effectively to provide the best possible care to patients and that the healthcare infrastructure in the region is well-equipped to handle any potential challenges.

The status of the 108 ambulance services was also reviewed, with a focus on improving response time and ensuring that patients receive timely medical attention.

The functioning of Health and Wellness centers, as well as the e-Sanjeevani scheme and e-Hospital, were also discussed in detail. Dr. Kotwal emphasized the need to leverage technology to enhance the quality of healthcare services and make them more accessible to people in remote areas.
