GDC Khaltse organises orientation programme on NEP

Leh, April 04: Government Degree College Khaltse held an orientation programme on New Education Policy (NEP) at Govt. Higher Secondary School, Khaltse on April 1.

A team of seven faculty members was led by Assistant Professor, English, Stanzin Deldan.

The NEP orientation programme was designed to make the students of 12th standard aware of the upcoming challenges, choices and options that they will face while taking admission in the undergraduate programmes (2023 session) in different colleges of Ladakh.

The speakers from the College gave detailed introduction to the students regarding subject choice, their options in selecting Major and Minor subjects, Academic Bank of Credit, the availability of skill courses, value-added courses and regional as well as international language learning options.

The students were also made aware of the new Entry/Exit options wherein there is flexibility and they receive Certificate, Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree and Bachelor’s Degree with Honours at the completion of the year. The session continued with a question hour as well as an interactive session between teachers from GDC Khaltse and students of GHSS Khaltse.

Assistant Professor, Sociology, Spalzes Angmo delivered the vote of thanks and concluded the NEP orientation programme.
