DC Udhampur discusses Baisakhi Mela arrangements
UDHAMPUR, April 06: Deputy Commissioner, Krittika Jyotsna chaired a meeting with district officers and prominent citizens to discuss arrangements for the 3-day historic Devika Baisakhi Mela.
Discussions were held on security, safe drinking water, power supply, first-aid and sanitation. District heads were directed to ensure fool-proof arrangements before the start of the mela.
Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering (PHE) would ensure drinking water arrangements while Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Municipality would ensure proper cleansing of the site.
Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was asked to depute a team of doctors during mela days. Executive Engineer of Power Development Department (PDD) would ensure uninterrupted power supply and the police department would ensure adequate security arrangements at the mela site.
The DC directed all district officers to work in coordination for finalising necessary arrangements and asked officers to install different departmental stalls in the mela.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Vinod Kumar; Additional Deputy Commissioner, Joginder Singh Jasrotia and other district officers were present in the meeting.
