Aadhaar workshop held emphasizing Face Authentication
September 17, 2024: In order to maximize the benefits of the Aadhaar-linked schemes in the state, the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI), Regional Office, Chandigarh, here convened a workshop today.
It was inaugurated by the Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, UT Ladakh, Dr Pawan Kotwal in presence of Ms. Bhawna Garg, DDG UIDAI, Regional Office, Chandigarh at UT Secretariat, Leh.
Presentations on Aadhar ecosystem, authentication processes and use cases for deriving maximum impact of Aadhar were made.
Examples of good governance using Aadhaar by different states were showcased, departments were encouraged to use face authentication for security and efficiency reasons.
Various potential areas where Aadhaar can be used for good governance in social welfare were also discussed.
Over 30 representatives from various government departments, including Sanjeev Khirwar, Principal secretary Department of School Education, & Padma Angmo, Commissioner Secretary of Social Welfare, Women and Child Development participated in the workshop.
The experts shed light on the Aadhaar ecosystem, and explained to the attendees the authentication processes and ways to derive the maximum benefits from the Aadhaar system.
