AAI and CISF conducts cleanliness drive at Jammu Airport

Jammu: The Airports Authority of India (AAI), in collaboration with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), organized a cleanliness drive at the Pump House area of Jammu Airport. The initiative was conducted under the able leadership of Airport Director Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Garg as part of Special Campaign 4.0—an ongoing effort to maintain and enhance the airport’s environmental standards and improve workplace efficiency.

The cleanliness drive aimed at ensuring a hygienic environment around key infrastructure like the Pump House, which plays a vital role in the airport’s day-to-day operations. CISF personnel, along with AAI staff, actively participated in the drive, collecting waste, cleaning the premises, and promoting awareness about the importance of cleanliness and environmental sustainability.

Speaking about the initiative, Sh. Sanjeev Kumar Garg emphasized the need for collective responsibility in keeping the airport and its surrounding areas clean. He added, “A clean and well-maintained environment not only ensures smooth operations but also enhances the experience for passengers and staff alike. We are committed to making cleanliness a priority at every level.”

The drive aligns with the broader goals of the Swachh Bharat Mission, which AAI and CISF have been actively supporting. Both organizations have regularly undertaken similar initiatives to uphold high standards of hygiene and cleanliness at the airport.

The successful completion of the cleanliness drive has set a positive example for the airport community, reiterating the importance of maintaining a sustainable and healthy environment, in line with the objectives of Special Campaign 4.0.
