Aakash Bharat takes charge as PYC Chief
JAMMU, August 26:- The 33 years old Aakash Bharat had won the polls to the post President PYC, held in the March 2023 this year. He replaces Shri Uday Bhanu Chib.
Aakash Bharat took charge of the PYC President in the presence of senior party leaders included S/Shri BV Srinivas-National President Youth Congress, Jagdev Gaga IYC General Secretary Incharge J&K, Amit Pathania Secretary IYC Incharge J&K, Puran Chandra Padhi General Secretary Org. IYC, after formally taking charge Shri Aakash Bharat recounted his long connection with the Congress Party.
“ My political Journey in the party as in the year 2015 as assembly Youth President, 2016 as Lok Sabha General Secretary, 2017 as State General Secretary PYC, 2019 as State Spokesperson PYC, 2020 contested DDC elections, 2022 as District Vice President district Kathua.It was my dream to work for Congress party and I inherited how to remain loyal to the party and its leadership”.
A dynamic and resolute figure, Aakash Bharat originates from Basohli of the Kathua district and has emerged triumphant in the competition, securing the highest count of ballots cast by Youth Congress members of J&K.
Aakash Bharat’s elevation to the role of JKPYC Chief is a direct consequence of his steadfast dedication to empowering the youth, fostering community progress, and advocating progressive policies. His exceptional leadership attributes have garnered the faith and backing of his peers within the Youth Congress, ultimately resulting in his selection as President.
In an official communication, Aakash Bharat expressed profound appreciation for the chance to lead the J&K Youth Congress and pledged to persistently champion the entitlements and ambitions of the region’s young populace. The resolution to designate Aakash Bharat as the fresh JKPYC President was taken based on the counsel of the party’s election commission, under the direction of BV Srinivas, President of the All India Youth Congress.
Aakash Bharat assumes the role from Uday Bhanu Chib, the previous J&K Youth Congress President.
