ABDM: QR Code for faster OPD registration kick-started at D.H Pulwama
PULWAMA, May 18: In yet another government initiative, QR code for OPD patients under Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) was kick started at District Hospital (DH) Pulwama.
Appreciating the step taken to facilitate patients, Deputy Commissioner (DC) Pulwama, Basharat Qayoom said the ease of access to healthcare system is key to quality care, and technology plays a vital role in it.
He said this initiative will go a long way in facilitating Patient registration, long waits and queues would be gone and will save the precious time of patients.
Speaking about the initiative, the Medical Superintendent said that this is a great initiative for the patient care as the patients no longer have to stand in long queues to get the OPD tickets.
He said that under this facility the patient has to just scan the QR code through an app on their mobile phone and after getting the successful registration, all the details of the patient will get reflected.
He added that the patient then has to simply go to the registration counter and reply to just a few queries of his/her ailments and the patient will be immediately directed to the concerned doctor and OPD as per token generated from the QR code.
Furthermore, all the details of the patients will be saved and maintained including the ailments of patients and the same can be reflected during the next visit of the patient.
The system will generate a patient history database that will come handy to the treating Doctor for diagnosis and treatment.
