Abdul Majeed Padder calls for the swift completion of construction work at Kulgam hospitals
Says, the extensive delay in completing the construction of SDH and 2 PHCs is causing suffering to the local people
SRINAGAR June 4: Apni Party’s Chief Coordinator and District President, Kulgam, Abdul Majeed Padder, has raised serious concerns regarding the lack of efficient management leading to prolonged delays in the construction of three vital healthcare facilities in south Kashmir’s Kulgam district. These facilities include the Sub District Hospital (SDH) in DH Pora as well as the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in D K Marg and Jadi Pora.
Padder expressed his disappointment over the failure to ensure the timely completion of these essential projects.
In his statement, Paddar, while expressing his dismay, over the official’s apparent inability to ensure the timely completion of these crucial healthcare facilities, said, “The construction work at the Sub District Hospital (SDH) in Damhal Hanji Pora is nearly seventy percent complete, whereas the construction of the Primary Health Centres (PHCs) in D K Marg and Jadi Pora has reached ninety percent completion. With the authorities’ cooperation in accelerating the construction work, these projects can be fully completed within a few weeks.”
Padder emphasised that the incomplete construction work in these hospitals has caused immense suffering for the residents in the neighbouring areas. The lack of completion has resulted in the deprivation of essential healthcare facilities, exacerbating the difficulties faced by the local population.
He earnestly called for the intervention of the Lieutenant Governor (LG) to ensure a swift and efficient acceleration of the construction work in these hospitals.
“The people of Kulgam district would be obliged to honourable Lieutenant Governor (LG) Manoj Sinha to make his efforts to ensure the immediate completion of the construction of these hospitals. Their completion would enable these healthcare facilities to commence serving the residents, fulfilling their crucial healthcare needs.” He said.
