Abhyuthanam: Day 5 Concludes on a High Note, Showcasing Vision and Aims of NEP 2020
JAMMU May 29: The fifth and final day of the Ministry of Education’s Academic Leadership Program, Abhyuthanam, concluded with resounding success, marked by insightful discussions and strategic dialogues on the successful realization of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. The event, supported by the Government of India, saw enthusiastic participation from academic leaders across the nation.
Prof Vinay Nangia, a renowned mentor and guide for education, business, and startups, commenced the day with a comprehensive overview of the formulation of NEP 2020. He emphasized the policy’s transformative potential to reshape India’s educational landscape through inclusive learning, innovative pedagogies, and decentralized governance. Prof Nangia underscored the necessity of a collaborative effort among policymakers, educators, and stakeholders for the effective implementation of NEP 2020.
Following his address, Prof Nangia chaired an engaging panel discussion featuring distinguished academics: Prof Ganga Prasad Prasain, Vice Chancellor of Tripura University; Prof Anand Bhalerao, Vice Chancellor of the Central University of Rajasthan; Prof C C Tripathi, Director of NITTTR Bhopal; and Prof Shrinivasa Varakhedi, Vice Chancellor of Central Sanskrit University. The panel deliberated on strategies to cultivate leadership across higher education institutions, focusing on fostering a robust leadership pipeline among all stakeholders.
The valedictory session, led by Prof Manoj Gaur, Director of IIT Jammu, provided a fitting conclusion to the five-day program. Prof Gaur urged participants to apply the insights and knowledge gained during the event to enhance their institutions and benefit their communities. He expressed gratitude to all attendees and praised the collaborative spirit that characterized the discussions.
