Absconder apprehended after 9 years in Kishtwar

KISHTWAR, 14 February 2024: In a significant achievement, District Police Kishtwar apprehended an absconder who had been on the run for the past 09 years, reaffirming their commitment to ensuring the safety and security of the community.

SSP Kishtwar divulging the details said that Kishtwar Police received information about the absconder and arrest was by the Inspector Dilraj Singh, SHO PS Kishtwar, under the supervision of DySP (Hqrs) Dr. Ishan Gupta.After relentless efforts, the absconder, identified as Mubarak Bakatir, son of Abdul Gaffar resident of Nehru Park Srinagar was successfully apprehended. The above said absconder was wanted in case FIR No. 165/2015 U/Sec.419/420 of Police Station  Kishtwar.
