Absconder arrested after 12 years in Rajouri
In a significant breakthrough, the long arm of the law finally caught up with a fugitive who had been on the run for over a decade. The elusive absconder, identified as Khalil Ahmed, son of Mohd Shafi and resident of Gambhir Mughlan, Tehsil Manjakote, Rajouri, was apprehended by a dedicated team of officers from the Nowshera Police Station on April 5th.

Ahmed had managed to evade authorities since 2012, in connection with a case registered under FIR No. 63/2009, pertaining to sections 420, 467, 468, and 471 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC). Despite the passage of years, law enforcement officers remained vigilant, tracking down leads and pursuing the fugitive until they finally succeeded in bringing him to justice.
The arrest was made possible through the coordinated efforts of the police team, led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of PS Nowshera.
Following his apprehension, Khalil Ahmed is now set to face the consequences of his actions as he is being presented before the Hon’ble Court of Law.
