AC 50-Paddar Nagseni: SVEEP Electoral Awareness Program, Green Election Initiative launched at Kwar, Hydroelectric Power Project

KISHTWAR, SEPTEMBER 14: In a significant move to promote voter education and environmental sustainability, a mega awareness event was organized under the Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation (SVEEP) program at the Kwar Hydroelectric Power Project, here today.

The event, held under the leadership of Nodal Officer SVEEP, Riaz ul Haq, brought together employees, workers, and officers of the power project alongside the SVEEP team to reinforce the importance of active voter participation in the upcoming Jammu & Kashmir Assembly Election 2024.

The highlight of the event was the SVEEP Pledge, taken by all participants, reaffirming their commitment to the democratic process and encouraging others to exercise their right to vote.

In a unique fusion of electoral awareness and environmental conservation, the event also featured a plantation drive, where participants planted trees to symbolize a ‘green election’ initiative, promoting the message of ecological responsibility along with civic duty.

Speaking on the occasion, Riaz ul Haq emphasized the dual objectives of the program, stating that both voter education and environmental sustainability are crucial for the future. He encouraged all workers and employees to not only vote but also contribute towards maintaining a green environment.

The event concluded with a collective call to action, urging the local community and project workforce to participate in the Assembly Elections and uphold their responsibilities towards a sustainable future.
