ACD inspects Handicrafts Centers, MGNREGA works in Kishtwar
KISHTWAR, MARCH 12: Assistant Commissioner Development Kishtwar Phulail Singh, who is also holding Charge of AD Handicrafts today conducted an official inspection and meticulously examined the advanced training centers for crewel in Poohie and Cherhar Kishtwar.
Additionally, he scrutinized ongoing development initiatives under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) at Panchayat Lachdayaram B.
In a proactive move towards promoting skill development and preserving traditional crafts, Phulail Singh dedicated time to assess the training centers specializing in crewel work. These centers play a pivotal role in imparting advanced skills and knowledge to artisans, ensuring the preservation and evolution of traditional handicrafts.
During his visit to Poohie and Cherhar Kishtwar, the ACD engaged with artisans, trainers, and stakeholders to gain firsthand insights into the challenges and opportunities in the handicrafts sector. This interaction not only highlighted the commitment of A.C.D to skill enhancement but also provided valuable feedback for further improvements.
