ACD reviews progress of development works in Padder

KISHTWAR, MARCH, 27: Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD), Phulail Singh today conducted a thorough inspection of works executed under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and IWMP in Block Padder.

During the inspection, Phulail Singh directed officials to focus on creating quality assets and installing a Community Information Board (CIB) at each work site. He emphasized the importance of sustainable development and encouraged the officials to adopt environment friendly practices.

After the inspection, the ACD conducted a review meeting with the staff of the Block Development Office (BDO) Padder. He directed officials to bridge gaps and achieve targets, warning that lackadaisical approach would invite strict action.

Three employees were issued show-cause notices for being absent from their legitimate duties. Phulail Singh passed stringent directions to ensure compliance regarding completion of works under MGNREGA, timely uploading of claims and payment of wages, completion of the Awas Plus survey for eligible households before March 31, and completion of all PMAY houses in Phase 1st as per timeframe.

The ACD also stressed the importance of sanitation, carbon neutrality, and creating a drug-free society. He was accompanied by Sumit Singh, BDO Padder and field functionaries from the block and IWMP Kishtwar.
