Achievements under RDD sector schemes reviewed in Rajouri
22549 houses completed under PMAY-G; 2913 works under District Capex Budget; 2218857 persondays generated so far
RAJOURI, March 04: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, conducted a comprehensive review of the Rural Development Department (RDD) sector in the district.
In the meeting, the DDC discussed in detail the physical and financial progress of various projects including Border Bunkers, Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana – Gramin (PMAY-G), Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and other District Capex Projects.
During the review meeting, it was informed that out of 3592 started works under District Capex, 2913 have been completed. This signifies a significant progress towards achieving the developmental goals of the district. The DDC lauded the efforts of the officials involved in these projects and urged them to maintain the same momentum.
It was also informed that under PMAY-G, 22549 houses have been completed so far. Hailing it as a commendable achievement, and the DDC urged the officials to continue the good work and ensure that the remaining houses are completed within the stipulated timeline.
Under AWAS plus, the meeting was apprised that against the target of constructing 11046 houses, the work on 1950 houses is complete. While reviewing the status of PDs generation, it was also informed that 2218857 person days have been generated as on date.
Similarly, reviewing the status of works under SCA to TSS, it was informed that out of 591 works, 417 works have been completed.
The progress of Border Bunkers, which are being constructed to provide safety to the people living near the border, was also discussed. The DDC directed the officials to ensure the completion of the bunkers within the stipulated time frame and to ensure the quality of construction.
The progress of MGNREGA, which guarantees employment to the rural poor, was also discussed. The DDC directed the officials to ensure that work is being executed as per the guidelines and that the job cardholders are provided work within the stipulated time frame.
The progress of other District Capex Projects, including construction of roads, bridges, and other infrastructure, was also reviewed. The DDC instructed the officials to ensure timely completion of these projects and to maintain the quality of construction.
In conclusion, the DDC expressed his satisfaction over the progress made so far and urged the officials to continue their efforts towards achieving the developmental goals of the district. He also emphasized the need for close coordination between various departments to ensure the timely completion of all projects.
