Acrimonious, communal, sectarian & Chauvinist face of Farooq Abdullah exposed: Girdhari Lal Raina
Jammu Aug 13: Former MLC & JK UT spokesperson of BJP Girdhari Lal Raina has strongly condemned acrimonious, communal, sectarian & Chauvinist statement of Dr. Farooq Abdullah. It is on expected lines from a party that is responsible for all the ills in Jammu Kashmir, he added. Emphasizing these out bursts of Farooq Abdullah to be as true nature of his party & dynasty, GL Raina reminded how he has been talking about the Hell more often in recent times. Outside the Parliament house in December 2023, he said “let the Jammu Kashmir go to hell”. In May 2024 addressing an election rally in Thanamandi area of the Rajouri he again said that those who will “vote for them” (PDP, Apni Party) must prepare for hell (after death).
People are wondering about repeated thoughts about hell in this advanced age of the former Chief Minister. Is he scared of his deeds and death and destruction policies of his party brought to the people of Jammu Kashmir? Is Karma catching up?
BJP spokesperson cautioned people against provocations of NC. He added that exasperation of NC president is understandable after his son and heir apparent of the dynasty not only failed to win his parliamentary seat but has also failed to check factionalism within the party. Former MLC asserted that Dr. Farooq Abdullah indicating his readiness to contest Assembly election in the Union Territory is pure posturing to prevent exodus of leaders from the factionalism ridden National Conference and a last-ditch effort to enthuse demoralized cadres.
Criticizing the octogenarian political leader for patronizing sermons, GL Raina recalled how even his father Sheikh Mohd Abdullah used these tactics by calling for social boycott of Congress party leaders and workers recorded besides others by Syed Mir Qaism in his autobiography Dastan-i-Hayat.
GL Raina urged election commission to take note of such communally inciting statements by misusing religion for political objectives and take obligatory action without delay.
