Action Plan to train youth identified under B2V-4 reviewed at Kulgam

KULGAM, January 10: A meeting to review the modalities and preparations to impart training in different skill development courses to unemployed youth identified during Back to Village phase-04 in the district was today held here under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kulgam, Viqar Ahmed Giri.

At the outset, the meeting was informed that 13 short-term courses with intake of 300 aspirants in the initial phase will be started within days.

The ADC stressed on imparting skilled training to the unemployed youth of the district to help them to get trained in various trades for becoming self-reliant and self-employed.

He directed that line departments shall work in coordination to implement the district skill plan in letter and spirit.

He also emphasized on identification of potential and suitable trades for the training of the youth for their proper hand holding.

The ADC said that skilled training shall provide ample opportunities to the unemployed in both manufacturing and service sectors and help in addressing the unemployment problem.

He also instructed officers to ensure proper course motivation and orientation to be imparted so that youth will become self-sufficient in technical knowhow.

Among others, the meeting was attended by Principal Polytechnic College Kulgam, Principal ITI, Chief Horticulture Officer, Chief Agriculture Officer and Director RSETI Kulgam besides other officers.
