ADC Leh chairs preparatory meeting regarding arrangements for Christmas/ Losar

Leh, December 20, 2024: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Leh, Ghulam Mohd (JKAS) chaired a preparatory meeting regarding the arrangements for the celebration of the upcoming festivals of Christmas and Losar in the district.

The meeting was attended by the representatives from Buddhists and Christian community along with the concerned officers from various departments, including Police, Health, Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Cooperatives, PDD, PHE, Municipal Committee, Forest department and Merchant and Butcher Association.

ADC Leh directed the concerned departments to ensure the easy availability of all the essential items and the continuous supply of water and electricity in the whole district. ADC Leh instructed the Cooperative department to ensure that all the essential consumer items are available at all the cooperative outlets throughout the district and provide them at the discounted prices as set precedent. He also directed to ensure that the list of essential items and the location of cooperative outlets are informed to the public for convenience.

He directed all the concerned officers and the stakeholders to ensure that the festivities are celebrated in a smooth and harmonious manner with the support and coordination of the line departments by ensuring their designated and guaranteed services.
