ADC reviews implementation of HADP, KKGs in Kishtwar District

KISHTWAR, NOVEMBER 21: Additional Deputy Commissioner (ADC) Kishtwar Pawan Kotwal today chaired a review meeting to conduct a comprehensive sector-wise review of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and Kissan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) implementation in the district.


The meeting focused on assessing the progress made under these schemes.


Nodal Officer HADP/ Chief Agriculture Officer, Amjad Hussain Malik, presented the achievements, highlighting that 6,441 applications were received seeking benefits across agriculture and allied sectors. Of these, 5,160 applications were approved, including 4355 in Agriculture Sector,49 in Horticulture Sector, 490 in Animal Husbandry Sector, 164 in Sheep Husbandry Sector, 78 in Sericulture Sector, 18 in Fisheries Sector and 6 in Marketing Sector by District Level Committee till date.


Reviewing implementation of Kissan Khidmat Ghars, the ADC directed all allied departments to register farmers on the KKG app.


A training program for Krishi Udhyamis and field functionaries of agri and allied departments was scheduled for tomorrow to facilitate this initiative.


The ADC stressed the need for recruiting adequate Krishi Udhyamis under the second phase and directed the extension of the last date for advertisements to ensure maximum participation. Field functionaries were instructed to maximize registration of eligible candidates across the district.


The meeting was attended by District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr. Nassir Jameel, District Agriculture Officer (DAO), Saffron Development Officer, Sub-Divisional Agriculture Officers (SDAOs), Subject Matter Specialists (SMS), and other field functionaries from agriculture and allied sectors.
