ADDC Jammu inaugurates CSC at Chak Rakwal, Nagrota

JAMMU, JANUARY 14: Additional District Development Commissioner Jammu, Ramesh Kumar inaugurated a Common Service Centre (CSC) at Panchayat Chak Rakwal Block Nagrota.

Speaking at the event, ADDC Kumar highlighted the importance of Common Services Centres as access points for delivery of essential public utility services, social welfare schemes, health care, financial, education, and agriculture services. He also mentioned that the government has taken a number of initiatives for the development of CSCs, which have yielded positive outcomes and provide a number of services to citizens in rural and remote areas of the union territory.

The ADDC emphasised the variety of important services provided by CSCs including registration for Aadhar Card, UDID cards, Disability Certificates, and registration for all the online schemes of the State and Central Government. The ADDC also distributed Ayushman Bharat cards to beneficiaries and computer diplomas to candidates.

The event was attended by Tehsildar Nagrota Babu Ram, BDO Shalini Raina, PRI members, officers from concerned departments, and local residents.

It was informed to the ADDC that the Department of Social Welfare has established 11 CSCs in district Jammu under the scheme SCA to SCSP 2021-22 (Special Central Assistance to Scheduled Castes Sub-Plan). All these 11 CSCs have been established in the selected PMAGY villages (villages with more than 50% SC population) in the very first phase.
