ADDC Kishtwar finalises arrangements for training camps
KISHTWAR, April 20: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar, Sham Lal- today chaired a meeting with the concerned officers to finalise the arrangements for the training camps being held under Kissan Sampark Abhiyan of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme(HADP).
The meeting was held at the Conference Hall DC Office attended the Chief Agriculture Officer, Amjad Hussain Malik; Chief Horticulture Officer, Sajid Hussain; ACD/ DPO Sunil Bhutyal; SWDO Zubair Ahmed; LDM, Pankaj Bhadani; CEO Kishtwar and the officials from various departments and Banks.
During the meeting, it was informed that from 24th April to 15th August, a series of 3 Day Training cum Orientation programmes will be conducted in each panchayat for the farmers.
The modalities for the conduct of a 3-day-long training programme on the doubling of farmers’ income through various interventions were discussed in detail during the meeting.
The roles and responsibilities of different departments including Agriculture Horticulture, RDD and ICDs workers were also discussed in the meeting.
The ADDC emphasised the need for the coordination and cooperation of all the concerned departments to make the program a grand success. He stressed that the main objective of the training camp is to acquaint the farmers about various soft and technology interventions to increase the farming production and make farmers’ income double for improving their livelihoods.
Bankers were asked to ensure financial literacy and generate awareness about various Insurance schemes among the farmers during these camps.
The concerned officers were directed to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are made for the training camp, and the farmers are informed about the same well in advance.
The officials were also asked to monitor the progress of the program and ensure that the farmers benefited from it.
The meeting aims to ensure the successful implementation of the Kissan Sampark Abhiyan of Holistic Agriculture Development Programme. The program is expected to bring positive changes in the farming community of Kishtwar and help them improve their income.
