ADDC Kishtwar reviews progress under Jal Jeevan Mission
KISHTWAR, June 22: The progress under the Jal Jeevan Mission was reviewed today here at the weekly meeting chaired by Additional District Development Commissioner Kishtwar, Sham Lal here in his office chamber.
The meeting was attended by Executive Engineer Jal Shakti, District Forest Officers of Marwah/Kishtwar, Assistant Executive Engineers, District Coordinator DPMU, and Junior Engineers.
Several important matters were discussed in detail including the status of tendering and allotment, component-wise progress of ongoing schemes, forest clearances, water quality and testing, coverage of Functional Household Tap Connections (FHTCs), and the conduct of Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) activities.
The Executive Engineer Jal Shakti Kishtwar provided an update on the current status of all ongoing activities under the Jal Jeevan Mission. The meeting was informed that out of 129 approved schemes, 105 have been allotted and work has been started on 75 schemes. Moreover, 97 out of 107 schemes requiring forest clearances have been uploaded on the Parvesh portal.
In terms of FHTCs, he said 850 connections have been uploaded against a monthly target of 2000.
Emphasizing the importance of timely completion and achievement of targets, the Additional District Development Commissioner issued directions for allotment of the remaining schemes at the earliest and meeting timeline for the completion of various ongoing schemes.
The meeting emphasised on uploading of the remaining schemes on the Parvesh portal and conduct if IEC activities in accordance with the allotted schedules.
