ADDC Kishtwar sets deadline for completion of ongoing works
Asks for comprehensive plan formulation for next year
KISHTWAR, April 11: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Kishtwar, Sham Lal on Tuesday chaired a meeting to review the progress made under the Aspirational Block Development Programme.
The meeting was attended by several district and sectoral officers, including Joint Director Planning Mohammad Iqbal; ACD, Sunil Bhutyal; SDM Marwah, Dr Mohsin Raza; DSEO, DSWO, CDPO Warwan, CEO, CAHO, CHO, CMO, ExEn PWD Marwah, and ExEn REW besides others.
The meeting focused on the programme’s indicators and the plans proposed for the next fiscal year for the Aspirational Blocks of Marwah and Warwan.
During the meeting, the ADDC reviewed the progress made under the programme and identified areas that required improvement. The ADDC directed concerned departments to take necessary steps to improve the indicators and achieve the targets. The meeting also discussed the physical progress of ongoing works being executed by RDD & PWD, and the ADDC set a deadline of 15th June 2023 for their completion.
The ADDC emphasized the need to prioritize timely and judicious utilization of funds and proactively fill developmental gaps in education, health, and agriculture sectors. He also stressed the importance of channelizing resources towards the modernization, facelift, and overall development of play fields in the schools in the Aspirational Blocks of Marwah and Warwan, to ensure the holistic growth and development of the students.
The meeting also discussed new plans for the next fiscal year for the Aspirational Blocks of Marwah and Warwan.
The concerned departments were directed to submit their plans in a time-bound manner to ensure effective implementation of the programme.
The ADDC reiterated the government’s commitment to the development of these blocks and assured that all necessary steps would be taken to achieve the programme’s objectives.
In addition to the Aspirational Block Development Programme, the meeting also discussed the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), including the agriculture and allied sectors and the KISAN SAMPARK ABHIYAN farmers orientation programme. The meeting aimed to review the developments in the agriculture sector and provide insights into the effectiveness of the HADP program in promoting sustainable agriculture practices. Participants analyzed the impact of the program and discussed ways to enhance its reach and impact among farmers across the District.
