ADDC Leh chairs meeting to discuss parameters of Aspirational Block Development Programme

LEH, July 27: Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Leh, Sonam Nurboo chaired a meeting to discuss parameters of the Aspirational Block Development Programme of Rupsho-Puga at DC Conference Hall today. 

During the meeting, the ADDC reviewed the progress made under the program and identified areas that required improvement. 

He informed that the initiative is anchored by NITI Aayog which aims at improving the performance of areas that are lagging on various development parameters.

Considering the importance of the scheme, he further directed the SDM to conduct meetings with BDOs and concerned officials so that they can submit their plans in a time-bound manner to ensure the effective implementation of the program. He also stressed that coordination is also necessary between district officers and block officers. 

Additionally, he directed the concerned departments to coordinate with the nodal officers for timely updation of data collected in the portals.

The ADDC reiterated the government’s commitment to the development of the blocks and assured that all necessary steps would be taken to achieve the program’s objectives.

Participants discussed ways to enhance its reach and impact across the District.

The meeting was attended by SDM Nyoma; District Social Welfare Officer; Chief Animal Husbandry Officer; Chief Medical Officer; Chief Education Officer; Chief Agriculture Officer; District Panchayat officer and representative from PHE.
