ADDC Pulwama convenes meeting to roll-out Kissan Sampark Abhiyan
PULWAMA, MAY 19: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Pulwama, Dr. Sheikh Abdul Aziz today convened a meeting here to mobilize farmers for their better participation in training cum orientation programmes organised in Panchayat Halqas as part if Kissan Sampark Abhiyan (HADP) roll-out.
The meeting discussed in detail various modalities for conducting training programmes on doubling farmers’ income through various interventions.
The role and responsibilities of different departments including Agriculture, Horticulture, RDD and others were also discussed threadbare.
The meeting was informed that resource persons have already been identified for smooth conduct of awareness camps to educate the farmers about various government schemes rolled-out to double their income.
The committee also ensured pooling of resources, logistics and judicial expenditures for the orientation programmes with prior publicity for maximum participation of the farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, ADDC emphasized the need for coordination and cooperation between all the concerned departments to make the programme a grand success. He stressed that the main objective of the training camp is to acquaint the farmers about various soft and technology interventions to increase the farming production and double farmers’ income for improving their livelihood.
The concerned officers were directed to ensure that all the necessary arrangements are made for the training camp and the farmers are informed about the same well in advance. They were also directed to monitor the progress of the programme and ensure that the farmers benefit from it.
Among others the meeting was attended by the Chief Agriculture Officer, Chief Horticulture Officer, Assistant Commissioner Development and the Officials from various departments.
