ADDC Ramban discusses MGNREGA convergence plan
RAMBAN, JANUARY 30: Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramban, Rajinder Sharma today chaired a meeting of senior officers of line departments to discuss formulation of plan under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA) and its integration with the schemes of other departments.
The meeting served as a crucial platform to advise the Assistant Commissioner Development (ACD) and officers of line departments in the finalization of the Convergence plan. A key emphasis was placed on strategically committing works ensuring a cohesive Convergence Plan that maximizes developmental impact.
Acknowledging the existing room for improvement on key parameters of MGNREGA, especially in districts still grappling in the red zone, officials underscored the significance of block-level reviews. These reviews were identified as pivotal in gaining a comprehensive understanding of challenges and opportunities, laying the foundation for targeted improvements.
During the meeting, the Additional District Development Commissioner provided an insightful overview to stakeholders, encouraging active participation in ongoing efforts to address issues and amplify the effectiveness of developmental plans. This collaborative approach underscores the commitment to fostering positive changes and achieving significant milestones in the region.
