ADDC Reviews Progress under Convergence Plan in Block Zaingeer

BARAMULLA, JULY 9: The Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) Baramulla, Syed Qamar Sajad, conducted a comprehensive review of the works under the convergence plan of Block Zaingeer today.


The review session aimed to evaluate the progress and ensure the effective implementation of various development projects in the region.


The meeting, held at the District Headquarters, was attended by key officials and stakeholders, including representatives from different government departments and local bodies.


During the session, detailed presentations were made, highlighting the current status of ongoing projects, challenges faced, and future action plans.


In his address, ADDC Syed Qamar Sajad emphasized the importance of inter-departmental coordination and community involvement in achieving the desired outcomes.


He stressed the need for timely completion of works to ensure that the benefits reach the grassroots level, contributing to the overall development of Block Zaingeer.


The convergence plan includes a range of initiatives aimed at improving infrastructure, healthcare, education, and livelihood opportunities for the residents of Block Zaingeer.


Various Works under review included the Plantation, desilting of Canals, construction of playgrounds and educational facilities.


During the meeting, the Forest Department apprised that the 24 spots in the block plantations will be undertaken under the convergence plan, contributing to the region’s environmental sustainability and community recreation.


Additionally, the Irrigation and Flood Control Department presented their plans for the desilting of canals to enhance irrigation facilities and flood management in the block.
ADDC directed the concerned officials to expedite the work on critical projects and address any bottlenecks promptly.


He also urged the officials to maintain transparency and accountability in the execution of these projects to uphold the trust of the local community.
