ADM Jammu conducts extensive tour of Akhnoor, Khour Subdivisions

Reviews functioning of Revenue Deptt, addresses public grievances

JAMMU, APRIL 13: Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Jammu, Rakesh Kumar, today undertook comprehensive tour of Akhnoor, Jourian, Khour, and Pargwal tehsils to assess the functioning of the Revenue Department and review the ongoing Girdawari (crop inspection) updation process.

During the visit, the ADM conducted thorough inspections of the revenue offices and examined records pertaining to land, crop assessments, and mutation registers in various villages. He identified several discrepancies and shortfalls in record maintenance and service delivery.

Taking serious note of these issues, he gave clear instructions to revenue officials to enhance transparency, adhere strictly to standard protocols, and improve efficiency in public service delivery.

The ADM was accompanied by SDM Akhnoor, SDM Khour, Tehsildars of Akhnoor, Jourian, Khour, and Pargwal, who briefed him on the local challenges and ongoing administrative measures.

In addition to inspecting departmental functioning, ADM Rakesh Kumar also interacted with local residents at multiple locations and listened to their concerns. He gave a patient hearing to grievances related not only to the Revenue separtment but also to PDD, Agriculture, and Health Departments. He assured the public that all issues raised would be taken up on priority with the concerned departments for early redressal.

The ADM reiterated the administration’s commitment to proactive governance and responsive public service and urged all officers to work in close coordination to address the issues faced by the public at the grassroots level.
