Advisor, UT Ladakh Dr Pawan Kotwal Chairs Meeting to Review the progress of Rural Development and Information Technology Department

LEH, December 11: The Advisor to the Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, UT of Ladakh Dr Pawan Kotwal convened a meeting of the Rural Development and Information Technology Department, UT Ladakh on the progress of various developmental initiatives undertaken by the Rural Development and Information Technology Department, at the Civil Secretariat, Leh.

The Advisor Dr Pawan Kotwal scrutinized the status of each project, ensuring a thorough evaluation of milestones achieved and challenges faced. A detailed examination of the departmental projects, schemes, and the corresponding expenditure.

Dr Pawan Kotwal emphasized the need for transparent financial management to ensure that funds allocated are utilized judiciously and effectively for the benefit of the citizens of Ladakh. He applauded the collective efforts of the Rural Development Department in implementing welfare schemes that directly impact the lives of the residents in Ladakh.

The meeting also delved into the strides made by the Information Technology Department in Ladakh. Dr Pawan Kotwal acknowledged the importance of leveraging technology for efficient governance, enhanced public services, and the overall development of the region.

Dr Pawan Kotwal reinforced the commitment of the administration to uphold the principles of accountability and transparency in every facet of governance. He urged officials to adhere to timelines and ensure that the benefits of developmental projects reach the grassroots level.

The meeting was attended by the Secretary of the Rural Development & IT Department, UT Ladakh, Amit Sharma; the Director of Rural Development Department, UT Ladakh, Syed Sajjad Qadri; Deputy Director Planning; Deputy Director Planning (K), PD&MD, Ladakh; concerned officers of the Executing Agency; and concerned officers of the concerned Departments, while concerned officers from Kargil joined the meeting virtually.
