Agriculture Department Jammu celebrates 76th Republic Day

DIPR Cultural Unit presents Nukkad Natak to promote HADP schemes

JAMMU, JANUARY 26: The Agriculture Department, Jammu, celebrated the 76th Republic Day with great pride and enthusiasm at the Directorate of Agriculture, Krishi Bhawan, Jammu.

As part of the celebrations, a Nukkad Natak on HADP schemes was presented by the artists of the Cultural Unit of the Department of Information and Public Relations (DIPR) Jammu under the directions of Joint Director Information, Atul Gupta and the supervision of Cultural Officer Mukesh Sharma.

Director Agriculture Jammu, Arvinder Singh Reen hoisted the national flag  in presence of Joint Director Agriculture (Extension/SLUB) Satish Sharma,  along with Deputy Directors, Sectoral heads, and staff from the Directorate of Agriculture Jammu.

On the momentous day, Director A.S Reen extended his warmest greetings to all the farmers, officers, and staff of the Agriculture Department.

In his address, the Director Agriculture reaffirmed the commitment of the Agriculture Department to work towards a self-reliant and prosperous India and listed several achievements of the department, including the focus on doubling farmers’ income through various initiatives such as FPOs Formation, PMFME, Organic Farming, Soil Health Cards, Kisan Credit Cards, PM Fasal Bima Yojna, Farm Mechanization, and market-led diversified farming. He also noted the benefits of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP), which has been instrumental in increasing farmers’ income, enhancing agricultural productivity, and generating employment for youth in the sector.
