Agriculture Department Reasi launches mega Awareness Campaign as part of Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra
REASI, Dec 09: The Department of Agriculture Reasi, in conjunction with the ongoing Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, has undertaken a proactive initiative to spread awareness across 44 panchayats. This intensive campaign aimed to enlighten and inform the farming community about pivotal government schemes such as the PM Kissan and Kisan Credit Card (KCC), ultimately empowering them with essential knowledge and resources.
The comprehensive drive included informative sessions and awareness camps strategically conducted in 52 panchayats, fostering a direct and impactful engagement with the farming populace. The primary focus remained on elucidating the benefits and mechanisms of the PM Kissan scheme, designed to provide financial support and stability to farmers across the nation. Additionally, the importance and advantages of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) were elaborated upon, emphasizing its role in facilitating credit access to farmers for agricultural purposes.
During these sessions, the Department of Agriculture took proactive measures to distribute vital resources, including 60 Soil Health Cards, aiding farmers in optimizing their crop productivity by offering insights into soil health. Furthermore, the distribution of quality vegetable seeds aimed to equip farmers with the necessary tools to diversify and enhance their agricultural practices, thereby contributing to increased yields and sustainable farming.
This concerted effort by the Department of Agriculture underscores the government’s commitment to bolstering the agricultural sector by not only providing crucial financial support but also by imparting knowledge and resources essential for the welfare and progress of farmers.
