AHD Kishtwar organises Fodder Seed Distribution Program under IFFDP
KISHTWAR, May 16: Department of Animal Husbandry Kishtwar today organized a simple but impressive program in the office of the Chief Animal Husbandry Officer for distribution of free of cost Fodder Seeds among the farmers under Integrated Feed and Fodder Development Programme.
District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Dr. Devansh Yadav was the Chief Guest. Among others present were Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Varunjeet Singh Charak; DYSSO, Lal Sharma. Chief Animal Husbandry Officer, Dr. S.K Sen; Block level Officer of Animal Husbandry Department and staff of CAHO office were also present.
More than 50 Dairy Farmers participated in the programme.
The District Development Commissioner urged the youth of Kishtwar to come forward and take the benefits of schemes of the department for employment and income generation. Appreciating the Animal Husbandry Department, he hailed the achieving of targets of the Departmental schemes, benefits delivered to common masses and his efforts put in to conduct cleanliness and plantation drive in Administrative complex.
Later, the District Development Commissioner, ACR and CAHO distributed the fodder seeds kits among the farmers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. S.K Sen educated the participants about Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and other schemes of the Department like KCC, IDDS, IPDP and IFFDP.
Dr. S.K. Sen informed that the Department is working for uplifting the socio-economic status of farmers and further assured that full co-operation shall be extended by the Department for delivering the benefits under Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and different schemes for increasing the production and doubling farmer’s income.
