Ajatshatru, Ranvijay review functioning of Dharmarth Trust Central Office, MGSM Trust, library
JAMMU, January 7: MK Ajatshatru Singh, former minister and Trustee J&K Dharmarth Trust along with RK Ranvijay Singh, Trustee today visited the Central Office of the Trust and took stock of ongoing development works of temples throughout the Union Territory.
Advocate Ajay Gandotra, President of the Trust apprised the Trustees about the works done for temples, improvement of administration and Trust properties since he assumed.
Ashok Kumar, (SSP Retd), Secretary of the Trust also apprised the Trustees regarding the requirement of renovation as well as beautification of Shri Raghunath ji Temple, Suchetgarh, in view of ongoing Beating Retreat ceremony along the International Border in Suchetgarh.
The Trustees discussed agenda points with the President and Secretary of the Trust and took several decisions in the general interest of the Trust. MK Ajatshatru Singh directed the President and Secretary to complete the renovation of Raghunath ji Temple, Jammu as soon as possible. They also directed for early commencement and completion of renovation work of Ranbireshwar Temple Jammu preferably before the upcoming Shivratri Festival. They further directed to start the necessary renovation works at Raghunath ji Temple at Suchetgarh.
The Trustees also met with employees of the Trust and listened to their issues.
RK Ranvijay Singh, in his address, said that the prime focus of the Trust is to look after the temples and shrines of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He said providing hassle-free facilities to devotees visiting the shrines and temples under the Trust’s domain is another responsibility which the Trust is fulfilling since it was constituted by the Maharaja Gulab Singh, the founder of the erstwhile State of J&K. He asked the employees to work relentlessly with utmost sincerity for enhancing the image of the Trust.
Later, the Trustees along with Ajay Gandotra, who is the member of Maharaja Gulab Singh Memorial (MGSM) Trust, and Secretary of J&K Dharmarth Trust visited the complex of Karan Bhawan, Shalamar Jammu and took stock of its ongoing activities.
They also visited the Library, which the Hon’ble Chairman Trustee, Dr Karan Singh has opened in the premises of Karan Bhawan, Shalamar Jammu for senior citizens. They also reviewed the functioning of the library.
It was unanimously decided to illuminate Karan Bhawan on the eve of Republic Day with Tiranga lights.
