Ajaz Jan attends Namaz-e-Janaza of Kalakote martyr, expresses grief

POONCH, November 24: Ajaz Jan, Provincial President of the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (JKNC) Youth and former MLA, has expressed grief over the martyrdom of five Army personnel, including two captains and one JCO in Kalakote encounter.

While attending Namaz-e-Janaza of Kalakote Martyrs at his graveyard in village Ajot in Poonch, the former Legislator said, “I offer my heartfelt condolences to the families of the martyred soldiers. Their sacrifice will never be forgotten. I also pray for the speedy recovery of the injured soldiers,” Jan added.

He also met his father and other family members and expressed sympathies with the bereaved families.

Earlier in 2017, Abdul Majed’s brother was also martyred. His family has made a great contribution to the country.

Jan appealed to the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, to take care of such families who have sacrificed their family members while serving the motherland.

“The government must provide all possible assistance to the families of the martyrs and ensure that they are not left to fend for themselves. We must also work to ensure that such incidents do not happen again,” Jan said.
