All India Shia Personal Law Board condemns killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by Israel
Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], September 29 (ANI): Maulana Yasoob Abbas, General Secretary of the All India Shia Personal Law Board (AISPLB), on Saturday strongly condemned the killing of Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah by Israel.
Maulana Yasoob Abbas, in a statement, paid tribute to Nasrallah and highlighted his important contribution in protecting the holy shrine of Hazrat Zainab, daughter of Imam Ali, during ISIS attacks.
Maulana Yasoob Abbas described Hassan Nasrallah as a strong Shia-Muslim leader who always supported the oppressed people of Palestine against Israeli forces. He expressed deep grief over the death of Nasrallah, calling it a great loss for the Muslim world and held the Israeli forces responsible for his killing.
Maulana Yasoob Abbas has appealed to the Shia community to observe three days of mourning and hoist black flags on the roofs of their houses.
He urged the United Nations to put pressure on Israel to stop its aggression against the people of Palestine and Lebanon. He stressed that Nasrallah’s death was an “irreparable loss” and that the world would remember him as a sympathiser of oppressed people.
Meanwhile, a protest march was held in Jammu and Kashmir’s Budgam on Saturday against the killing of Hassan Nasrallah by the Israel Defence Force (IDF).
President, JK Anjuman-e-Sharie, Shian Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al Safavi, said, “No matter how much we mourn his (Hassan Nasrallah) death, it will always be less. He wanted Palestine to be free for the people of Palestine. I wanted to say to the entire humanity and Islamic people, that this will bring something extraordinary for which he has sacrificed his life. His loss can’t be measured, but thousands of Nasrallah will be born from his blood and will take this mission forward and achieve success.”
Earlier in the day, Israel Defence Forces (IDF) confirmed the killing of Hassan Nasrallah in the airstrikes carried out by the Israeli military in Beirut.
In a statement, IDF said, “Hassan Nasrallah will no longer be able to terrorise the world.”
The IDF said that alongside Nasrallah, the commander of Hezbollah’s so-called Southern Front, Ali Karaki, was also killed, along with other commanders, The Times of Israel reported.
Nasrallah was targeted at Hezbollah’s main headquarters in the southern suburbs of Beirut, a Hezbollah stronghold known as the Dahiyeh, on Friday. The headquarters is underground, beneath residential buildings in the Dahiyeh, according to the IDF.
“The strike was carried out while the top brass of Hezbollah were at their headquarters and engaged in coordinating terror activities against the citizens of the State of Israel,” the Israeli military said.
The IDF also said that dozens of anti-ship missiles stored by Hezbollah under buildings in the Lebanese capital of Beirut were also destroyed in Israeli airstrikes overnight. (ANI)
