Aluminium futures fall on low demand

New Delhi, Jul 17 (PTI) Aluminium prices on Monday fell by Rs 2.85 to Rs 198.70 per kg in the futures market as participants trimmed their positions on a weak trend in the spot market.

On the Multi Commodity Exchange, aluminium for delivery in July declined by Rs 2.85 or 1.41 per cent to Rs 198.70 per kg in 2,969 lots.

Analysts said cutting down of positions by participants on easing demand from consuming industries mainly kept aluminium prices lower.
