Amit Shah calls internship programme decision “game-changing move”
New Delhi [India], July 23 (ANI): After the budget presentation, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday lauded the government’s decision to provide training and internship programmes to youths.
Terming it as a game-changing move, Union Minister Shah said that the government will provide world-class training to 1 crore youth through internships in the top 500 companies.
In a social media post on X, Union Minister Amit Shah wrote, “The Budget 2024-25 will go down in history for coupling Bharat’s economic growth with the torque of the nation’s youth power. It provides for a massive fund of Rs2 lakh crore to train 4.10 crore youth in a wide range of skills while envisioning another game-changing move of providing world-class training to 1 crore youth through internships in top 500 companies.”
He further expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for bringing new initiatives in employment.
Amit Shah further conveyed that this budget is a step forward in the process of making India a developed country by using the hashtag #BudgetForViksitBharat
Adding to the tweet, he further wrote, “Thank you, PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, for the unprecedented initiatives that will open a new world of employment and opportunities for them. #BudgetForViksitBharat”
Union Minister Amit Shah further expressed gratitude towards PM Modi for increasing the limit of Mudra loans from Rs10 lakh to Rs20 lakh and said that this decision will enhance the small and women entrepreneurs on the path to becoming job creators.
In another social media post on X, he wrote, “Thank you, PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, for inspiring Bharat’s entrepreneurial spirit by increasing the limit of Mudra loans from Rs10 lakh to Rs20 lakh. The decision will not only enhance Bharat’s ease of doing business further but will also set small and women entrepreneurs on the path to becoming job creators. #BudgetForViksitBharat”
Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman presented her record seventh consecutive Union Budget 2024-25 today (on July 23) during the Budget Session of Parliament. She makes history as the first finance minister to present seven consecutive budget speeches, surpassing former Prime Minister Morarji Desai’s record of six consecutive budgets as finance minister between 1959 and 1964.
FM Sitharaman, in her seventh consecutive Union Budget for 2024-25, outlined key priorities aimed at fostering economic growth and creating ample opportunities. The priorities include Productivity and Resilience in Agriculture, Employment and Skilling and services.
She listed productivity and resilience in agriculture, employment and skilling, inclusive human resource development and social justice, manufacturing and services, urban development, energy security, infrastructure, innovation, research and development, and next-generation reforms as nine priority areas for the government.
In her budget speech, Sitharaman introduced an increased standard deduction and revised tax rates for salaried individuals under the new tax regime. Sitharaman announced a significant set of income-tax reforms for the fiscal year 2024-25, aimed at simplifying tax laws, promoting compliance, and fostering economic growth.
Sitharaman, in her budget speech, proposed the creation of employment for about 4.1 crore youth over the next five years. Towards this, the finance minister has made an allocation of Rs 2 lakh crore.
Similarly, for skilling the citizens so as to generate job opportunities, she proposed Rs 1.48 crore. 20 lakh youth will be skilled over a five-year period. A total of 1,000 industrial training institutes will be upgraded.
