Anantnag police responds to political party’s claims of worker detention amid Lok Sabha Polls

ANANTNAG May 25: Anantnag police issued a statement refuting claims made by a political party regarding the alleged detention of their workers amid Lok Sabha polls in the region. According to the police, the individuals in question, who have a tainted past and are considered to be Over-Ground Workers (OGWs), were taken into preventive custody based on intelligence inputs suggesting threats to law and order and security on polling day.
